1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SkyScript ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
SkyScript provides real-time speech-to-text transcription of air traffic control (ATC) communications. The App uses your device's microphone to capture audio, which is processed using speech recognition and AI-powered correction to produce aviation-formatted text transcriptions.
3. Not a Safety-Critical Tool
SkyScript is a supplemental tool for situational awareness only. It is NOT certified for use as a primary means of receiving ATC instructions. You must always listen to and comply with live ATC communications directly. Never rely solely on SkyScript for flight-critical decisions.
4. User Accounts
You must create an account to use SkyScript. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activity under your account.
5. Subscriptions & Billing
SkyScript may offer free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Refunds are handled according to the applicable app store policy.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service
- Reverse-engineer or decompile any part of the App
- Share your account credentials with others
- Record or redistribute ATC communications in violation of applicable law
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of SkyScript — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software — are owned by or licensed to SkyScript and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
SkyScript is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any transcription. Speech recognition and AI correction may produce errors.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkyScript and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to damages related to aviation operations.
10. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon deletion, all your data — including transcription history, aircraft information, and learned corrections — will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
